Final Fantasy XIII No Longer a PS3 Exclusive

I'm
sure some may already have heard, but Final Fantasy XIII is no longer
'exclusively' available for just the Playstation 3. The game is now
also available for the Xbox 360. This news came straight from the mouth
of Square-Enix president, Yoishi Wada.

The announcement came at the end of the Microsoft press conference and was accompanied by a video package for the title.

"Releasing an Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII will allow us
to provide the game to even more fans in the two regions of North
America and Europe," said Wada. "We are currently working hard on these
two versions".

In addition, Wada also announced several release dates for other
products in the Square-Enix portfolio that will be appearing on Xbox
360. Infinite Undiscovery will launch on September 2, Star Ocean: The
Last Hope in early 2009, and The Last Remnant on November 20th
worldwide.

Personally, I have been holding out on buying the PS3 until FFXIII was
released for it. This news sort of side-tracks me though, since I do
enjoy the online achievements that the XBOX 360 offers. I will probably
still continue to buy the PS3 version, as I really need a Blu Ray
player.
